Garden Of Symmetry is the biggest generative art on-chain project I’ve released so far. It consists of 400 minted artworks (alongside with a number of pen-plotted “preview” works I did). The core algorithm comes from the Figura series which relies on generating curves, offsetting them, translating, and rotating in order to achieve different visual effects. In Figura, the goal was to play with rotations either on “regular” (viewport-fitting) scales or to use thousands of copies on large scales to get moire patterns.
Here, everything is about “throwing” geometries into space and intersecting them with each other. The symmetry is still there, although broken and seemingly incomplete. The resulting intersected shapes are filled with patterns. Some of the compositions remind me of Jackson Pollock’s artworks, some of the shattered glass or ice.

Original Project Description
Sometimes, things look better when seen from the distance. Not from far away, but from a length that allows one to see what’s possibly underneath. Or, you may not see anything. Instead, you can just enjoy things falling into place.
Get a pack of shattered glass, snow, or ice*, uncovering a pattern. Or an axis of dancing geometries. Enter the Garden of Symmetry.
The graphic is a plottable SVG file in A3 format, ready to be drawn using a pen plotter. In the full screen view, click somewhere on the artwork to download a copy.
I recommend to optimize the SVG before plotting, i.e. using vpype. I also recommend to draw the graphic using 0.7mm pen.
